Jason Gray, MSW, Supervisee In Social Work

Jason graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Social Work in Spring 2023. His clinical experiences have afforded him the opportunity to work collaboratively with a diverse range of clients and supporting them with various presenting needs such as substance recovery, family and interpersonal relationships, neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, and other mood related disorders.

Since retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Jason has worked with various organizations to support the diverse needs associated with intellectual and developmental differences in the Fredericksburg and Richmond, Virginia areas. His primary focus has been to teach and promote the life skills needed for greater degrees of independent living while advocating for changes that will support positive health outcomes.

His person-centered therapeutic focus promotes his ability to work collaboratively with clients in a compassionate, affirming, and friendly way that honors all of their lived experiences to include those relating to neurodivergence, gender, and traumatic life events. Utilizing mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches allows him to provide evidence-based tools that create meaningful, timely and lasting change for clients. Combining his knowledge of mental health, local resources, and advocacy, he can also offer a variety of therapeutic supports to further aid positive therapeutic outcomes.

Jason is a certified Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2) clinician and he is in the process of obtaining certification as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCP) and ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD CCSP). In addition, he is currently training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
