THERAPIST
Michaela Stewart, MSW, Supervisee In Social Work
Michaela Stewart, Supervisee in Social Work, believes therapy is an opportunity to dive deeper into oneself and offers an environment where your mind, body, and spirit are taken into consideration. Her training in social work gives her the ability to tailor sessions for self-discovery and offer self-regulation skills through a strengths-based approach while incorporating skills from DBT and TF-CBT alongside somatic interventions, mindfulness, art therapy, and attachment-informed interventions.
Michaela received a Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University. With experience in community mental health working with adults and adolescents with a wide array of challenges, she feels honored to walk alongside individuals as they tap into the healing that already exists within. Through approaches like EMDR and parts work, she is equipped to hold space and facilitate this holistic and integrative process.
Michaela is LGBTQIA+ affirming and leads with cultural humility. Her trauma-informed approach creates a supportive, non-judgmental and compassionate space for transformation to take place. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Percy, making art, and being in nature.
