Shannon Williams, Supervisee in Social Work, has professional experience with a variety of client populations, including foster care youth and families, adults with traumatic brain injuries, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental health concerns. Shannon utilizes CBT, Internal Family Systems, play therapy, DBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic psychotherapy with children, teens, and adults.
Shannon’s areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, traumatic brain injury, foster care involvement, developmental disability, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and loss or grief. Shannon earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked in the mental health field since 2019 and is currently pursuing clinical licensure.
Through a holistic, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental approach, Shannon helps clients navigate the peaks and valleys of life and work towards self-realization. She believes that our experiences and intersecting identities shape how we view ourselves and the world around us. Whether you are having relational issues, facing major life transitions, experiencing a crisis, or just need someone to listen, Shannon welcomes all with open arms.
