Emily Agee, Resident in Counseling, incorporates humor and laughter into her approach to facilitate a trauma-informed space for clients. 

How can Emily help you find joy today? Finding small joys, or glimmers, alongside her clients is one of Emily's passions. Emily finds laughter can help relieve and manage stress. No matter how stressful life gets, Emily finds joy in helping individuals discover their own small joys and truths that strengthen their connection with themselves and others. 

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Emily is passionate about working with clients of different backgrounds. Emily strives to work with clients to develop and provide a safe trauma-informed space where you feel empowered in your healing journey. Emily has experience working with clients who present with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and more. Emily has worked previously as an advocate for sexual and domestic violence survivors, resulting in a passion for working with this population. Emily uses an eclectic approach, incorporating DBT, CBT, CCT, ACT, play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and more based on the client's needs. She works with individuals aged 12 and up.

A Richmond native, Emily loves spending her free time engaging in community events and spending quality time with her husband and pups, Viper & Nova.
