Joshua Taylor, LCSW is a seasoned clinician at Resilience Counseling and Social Skills Center, where he works with a diverse range of clients, including children, families, and adults facing addiction and mental health issues.
Known for his warm and friendly approach rooted in empathy and collaboration, Josh believes in expressing himself authentically, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and feelings. He values honesty and seeing each person as worthy of dignity and respect, and while he provides support tailored to each client’s needs, he also gently challenges them to grow and improve. Clients can expect a warm and engaging atmosphere where they are encouraged to explore their feelings, build insight, and work toward acceptance and positive change.
With a focus on couples and relationship issues, parenting challenges, self-worth, and addiction, Josh utilizes various evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Supportive Person-centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Structural Family Therapy. His extensive experience has equipped him to handle complex issues with empathy and insight.
Originally from Kentucky, Josh offers remote telehealth services and takes pride in his Appalachian culture, which has deeply informed his understanding of the challenges related to addiction and poverty. Josh is dedicated to providing trauma-informed care and is LGBTQIA+ affirming, ensuring that all clients feel respected and understood. He is committed to fostering resilience in those he serves.
