THERAPIST

Lindsay Hively, MS, Resident In Counseling

Lindsay Hively, Resident in Counseling, strives to create a counseling space filled with warmth, genuineness, and unconditional support for meeting individuals right where they are. Lindsay is currently pursuing her licensure as a professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In 2021, Lindsay obtained her master's degree in Counselor Education from Longwood University-- and has found deep fulfillment in partnering with Resilience since the completion of her clinical internships. Lindsay formerly has a range of acquired experience with outdoor therapeutic treatment programs as well as career services.

Through telehealth, Lindsay currently extends well-rounded, collaborative care to teens and adults (ages 12+) who may face mood disorders, anxiety, neurodivergence, stress, grief and loss, familial conflicts, and difficulties with coping and life adjustments. Lindsay uses a person-centered approach to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for clients to identify and process their unique needs. She has extensive experience with trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and cultural competency across diverse backgrounds.

Ultimately, Lindsay believes that outward growth begins with inward change, and that inward change is powered through resiliency.
