CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Louisa White, LCP

Dr. White is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Virginia. Her education background includes a Masters in Clinical Counseling from the University of Memphis and a Psy.D. from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. White has experience working in a wide variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, community mental health centers, and schools (elementary through college). She approaches therapy primarily through a Cognitive-Behavioral and Interpersonal lens, meaning much of the work in therapy is focused on identifying and reframing unhelpful thinking patterns and on exploring and strengthening interpersonal relationships. However, Dr. White realizes that each client’s needs are unique, so she adjusts her treatment approach to best fit each person.

Sometimes, beginning therapy can feel intimidating, and Dr. White strives to create a space where you can feel safe, comfortable, and supported discussing what is on your mind. She believes you are the expert on your life, and together, the two of you can work towards overcoming challenges and obstacles that are getting in the way. She would be honored to be trusted to listen to your concerns and to help you on your journey towards growth!

Dr. White offers therapy for older adolescents and adults and psychological assessment services.
