Marisa Ohngemach, LPC
Marisa Ohngemach, LPC, works collaboratively with clients to develop a treatment plan outlined with measurable and relevant goals while offering a non-judgmental space where individuals can feel safe to share and explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. Her areas of focus include: anxiety and depressive disorders, relational and interpersonal dynamics, self-harm (NSSI), suicide risk management and prevention.
Marisa uses an integrative, multi-culturally affirming, and person-centered approach to counseling, which includes utilizing interventions derived from modalities such as CBT, ACT, attachment-based therapy, DBT, and other evidence-based practices. She works with individuals and couples, serving all communities and populations aged 10 and up. Marisa graduated from Northwestern University in December 2020 with a master’s degree in counseling and has been a Nationally Certified Counselor since 2021.
Marisa emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic alliance and is prepared and excited to establish healing and productive relationships with her clients! She provides a supportive environment for clients to foster growth, resilience, and life skills. Whether your challenges include navigating relationships, managing stress, or processing emotional wounds, Marisa is dedicated to helping clients build healthy connections with all parts of themselves.
