Miosha Lamar is a Resident In Counseling with a Master of Art degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Miosha specializes in working with teens, adults, and families. She has experience working in several settings including therapeutic day treatment, mental health skill building and intensive in-home.
Miosha uses a variety of therapeutic techniques and skills to meet the needs of her clients, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, DBT, Psychoeducation, and mindfulness and relaxation. She believes in working in partnership with clients to identify their strengths to help them achieve their goals throughout their healing journey.
Miosha acknowledges the importance of identifying all areas of an individual’s life that impacts well-being including physical health, relationships, work or school environment, and faith/spirituality.
