Morgan McWilliams, Resident in Counseling, understands that the decision to seek therapeutic support can be overwhelming, and she honors the courage it takes to reach out for help. Committed to empowering clients, she creates a nurturing environment where individuals can take control of their mental health and work toward their unique goals. 

Utilizing an eclectic therapeutic approach, Morgan integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others. By adopting a Strengths-Based and Person-Centered perspective, she helps clients recognize and leverage their unique strengths to achieve their goals. Together, you and Morgan will cultivate skills and insights that foster lasting growth and resilience beyond the therapy room. 

Morgan earned her BS in Psychology and her MS in Rehabilitation and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a Nationally Certified Counselor. Morgan has experience working with clients aged 8 and up, guiding them through challenges such as depression, anxiety, and life transitions in the outpatient setting. She also has experience in short-term crisis stabilization and Intensive Outpatient Substance Use Disorder programs, equipping her with the skills to provide effective support in high-pressure situations. Her diverse background enables her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering resilience and growth.
